Embark on this colorful adventure that starts at your Hotel/bnb, depending on the tour option you choose. Thinking of your travel needs and desires, on this private tour we created 2 options: 

  1. We can pick you up at your hotel/bnb and departure to Codito neighborhood in a comfortable car or,
  2. We can meet you at at a meeting point that will be disclosed upon booking.

Once at Codito, we will meet Temi and Miryam, amazing, hardworking women who grew up in this neighborhood. Over the years, they have done plenty for their community as both of them are active community leaders. You will feel the pull of the district immediately as you come face to face with the graffiti that represents the importance of water and how the community is connected to it!

Follow our community leaders deep into this shanty town and reach a series of graffitis created by a youth group! There are children who are learning at young age about this art form. Discover how these kids took human rights as their inspiration and conceptualized this moving piece. 

Continue through narrow streets, see amazing art pieces done by local and international artists. Visit the only castle build in the city and hear its hidden stories! Be captivated by a beautiful 3D Mural of a tiger that represents the strength and resistance of the people and learn all about their story.

  • Meeting point: we will end the tour at a safe location where you can easily take public transport or taxi. or,

Meeting point: Your local host will be waiting for you at a meeting point in El Codito, and you will move around by walk. The tour will end at the same place where it started.

Private car: Your local host will pick you up at your hotel in a private car. The car and driver will be available for you the entire time. When the tour ends, your local host will take you back to your hotel or point of preference with in the city.

Yes. The car is for your comfort, if it is raining or you are tired of walking, we can move around the city center by car. Plus, you can hop on and off the car as many times as you want. Don’t want to walk back to the car? No problem, the driver will pick you up!

Yes, children are always welcome! Please take into account there is a lot of walking involved in this tour, we recommend it for children 13 years old or more.
