Outstanding Tour with Knowledgable, Fun, Friendly Guides Bogota's Kickstart Tour

Juanita and Alejandra of Zebra Fisgona were amazing tour guides! My husband and I visited Bogota for the first time, and we did the Candelaria walking tour with Coffee & Cacao workshop. Juanita and Ale were incredibly fun, friendly, knowledgable, engaging and helpful at every step of the way. We learned so much about Colombian history and current day issues, including a moving visit to Fragmentos - an art exhibit that honors the victims of the war and violence in Colombia, and proves how art can transform the pain of the past. On a lighter note, don't miss out on the Coffee & Cacao workshop - wonderful owner Catalina and her barista Carlitos and team treated us to a delicious sensory experience with three ancestral rituals. I loved this part and learned so much about the best methods of brewing coffee, and the health benefits to cacao. Superb! Again, I highly recommend Zebra Fisgona and supporting these young and dynamic women entrepreneurs as they pursue their dream to share their beautiful country with others. They were also very responsive by email as I was booking the tour, and took time to answer my questions and provide recommendations on other activities in and around Bogota and Colombia. Thank you Juanita and Ale!

Most Genuine Tour Guides Bogota's Kickstart Tour & Tejo Experience

Me and my boyfriend had the privilege to meet both Juanita and Alejandra in this tour; and we like them and the experience so much that we decided to do the another tour of Tejo experience with them again. They both respect the culture very much and very engage when we discuss about the similarities or differences in the heritages between us. The experience gave us a deeper view of Columbian history, the sight of the beautiful country and the genuine narrative of the struggles the country is going through. That being said, I love how proud they are of their history and culture, and also the fun part of life like Tejo with shots of Aguardiente. Definitely a must to do in Bogota, and thank you Juanita and Alejandra for the friendship!

The best option to discover Bogota! Rent a Friend

If you really want a personalized experience you should go for the 'rent a local friend option' form Zebra Fisgona Tours. Do not hesitate to book for a few days. You will have so much fun and really enjoy your vacation, especially as a solo traveller. Every tour day starts and ends at your hotel reception. My new local friend Juanita showed the best of Bogota in a few days. She really knows where to go. You can customize the tour to your own interest. We did a lot of the nightlife of Bogota. During the day we went shopping or visit some of the touristic highlights. The tour starts and end at your hotel reception every day. We had so much fun at all the restaurants, coffee-,beer- and wine tasting. The international salsa festival was the highlight of my tour with Juanita. After this experience you do not want to leave Bogota!

The Best Young Women, the Best Guides Bogota's Favorite Farmers Market & Authentic Colombian Treats

After I’d already scheduled several tours for our Bogotá trip, I happened upon Zebra Fisgona. There was just something about them and their website that stood out. I wasn’t wrong in thinking that they’d be special. I scheduled their Paloquemao Market Tour and immediately after that, the Colombian cooking class. The next day, I scheduled for us to meet them for Tejo. We were never disappointed - except for wishing that we could have more activities with them. First off, they were on time for every activity. They were well-organized and spoke great English, making it easy for us to understand them. You could tell that they had great relationships with the vendors they use. They not only know their city and country well but feel very passionately about it which they passed to us. They expressed continually wanting to improve their own services so if you have tips, they are receptive to them. Finally, they are kind, caring and flexible: I had an extreme reaction to the altitude during the market tour and Aleja & Juanita were so flexible and accommodating to help me out which involved some scheduling changes. My family travels frequently and usually book 3-5 tours per trip. Zebra Fisgona is now among my favorite experiences.

I'd Do It Over Again Bogota's Kickstart Tour

I was expecting a do-it-myself tour around La Candelaria since I'm mostly interested in street photography. But I got more what I expected with Zebra Fisgona. Not only that I was able to capture various moments and scenes in the area during the walking tour (learned more also about the historical significance of the place) but went to accept one of their recommendations to do the coffee and cacao workshop. It was totally worth it! I mean we are talking about Colombian coffee and cacao which are two of best beans in the world. I saw first hand how to handle coffee and cacao to yield distinctive tastes based on different preparation techniques. It was really cool to actually do it myself after the demonstration. Of course we end up drinking all the finished product. Yummy! We continued walking around and visiting most of the churches that are close in proximity. I think there are more than ten of them. La Candelaria boasts of many old Spanish colonial churches with gold adornment and spectacular wood ceiling. The Bogota graffiti tour highlighted amazing mural of a Wayuu by Carlos Trileras street art. Visiting this place is a must for those traveling to Bogota and want to experience the diverse aspects of life and culture there. And even better when you do it with Zebra Fisgona. Enjoy Colombia!

Best Chingaza Experience Hiking at the Andes Mountains from Bogota
Read More
I went with Juanita and Alejandra, founders of Zebra Fisgona, for two treks in Chingaza with some of the international students visiting our university. It was an incredible experience, not just from the beautiful vistas and amazing scenery of Chingaza, but because Juanita and Alejandra are amazing tour hosts. Over the course of the two trips, we visited the sectors of Laguna de Siecha, Lagunas de Buitrago, Rincón del Oso, and Mina Palacio. The tour was well organized, with a great breakfast stop and a tasty pre-packed lunch, and a wonderful local guide, Alejo, who complemented the hike information about the local flora, fauna, and culture. As a Colombian, I learned a ton about my closest national park and surrounding towns, and my international students were all enthralled. They also included something which I've not seen any other tour include - photos of the tour. This was a fantastic additional service which really made what was an already exceptional tour become perhaps, and without exaggeration, the best tour experience I've ever had.

INCREDIBLE - Best thing I did in Bogota Bogota's Kickstart Tour

Juani and Ale are amazing, and so inviting. I typically don't like walking tours, but this was so personalized and interesting, and we had a lot of say in what we wanted to do. The stops along the way were great (who doesnt like taste testing while they walk around?!) and the actual workshop was a wonderful experience. Couldn't recommend more.
